Brothers in Christ is a monthly breakfast for the men of MPC to get together for food, faith, and fellowship. At this meeting, we will discuss Servant Leadership with Elder Kevin Humphreys.

Servant leadership has gained traction in evangelical circles, but in today’s workplace and culture untethered from biblical truth, Christian men must ask: Is this model still faithful and effective? Or maybe it was it wrong from the start? We live in a culture that praises weakness. Biblical leadership demands strength, clarity, and unyielding truth. Are you ready to stand? Biblical manhood calls for courage, risk-taking, responsibility, and “sacrificial leadership” reflecting God’s design. 

Kevin has been married to Vanessa for 26 years and is a father of two children and one grandchild. Kevin graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy and has served at sea and ashore in the Merchant Marines, as a Naval Reserve Officer, and as an executive in worldwide maritime businesses. Both Kevin and Vanessa came to faith at MPC where they have attended since 2007. Kevin has served as a Ruling Elder since 2022 and has a passion for apologetics and the study of Reformed theology.
