Club 45 provides a fun time of fellowship for children in 4th & 5th grade. Kids will enjoy worship, silly games, and time with friends.

In 6th grade, children are invited to become communing members of our church. This process includes learning the precepts of the Christian faith among fellowship and games. This class is beginning its second semester.

Tough Topics Night: Body Image

We’ll be joined by local clinical and mental health counselors, as well as various members in our congregation who have struggled with their own body image or eating disorders for a Q+A session.

Discipleship Groups (“DGroups”)

Each grade meets at separate, designated times & places. Contact your group leaders for more information. If you are interested in joining a group, contact our Student Ministry staff.

In Discipleship Groups (D-Groups), students encounter Christ in a smaller setting and are mentored by an adult leader.

Round Table

First and third Fridays, 6:30-8:30PM, McLean Pres Fellowship Hall

Roundtable is an event every 1st and 3rd Friday where Young Adults can gather to hear from a speaker, discuss difficult topics in light of the gospel, and grow in community with one another, the church, and Jesus. We have an exciting line-up of speakers and topics coming up:

Adult Education at our church helps you grow in grace through thinking more deeply about faith and life. We have three classes offered this semester:

New Testament Foundations

Sundays, 10:45AM, Zoom
Begins January 10th

This course will explore the literature and themes of the New Testament with the purpose of providing a basis for engaged reading, further study, and life application.

Gospel of Mark: First Impressions of Jesus

This class will walk through Mark’s gospel and explore the life and teachings of Christ, and what implications his life has for ours today.

Learn about incredible things the Lord is doing around the world and consider how you can take part in God’s mission personally. We will be looking at materials from Frontiers called MomentumYes, as well as talking to members of our church family who have stepped out into missions in various contexts.

Through Community Groups, we: Commit to weekly or bi-monthly gatherings; Know each other, sharing joys and sorrows; Love each other and love God, as together we learn more about him; Serve others and seek the flourishing of our city and our world.

Explore Leading a Community Group

This workshop is aimed at anyone who recently began leading a Community Group or is considering leading one in the future. It is designed to equip potential leaders with the tools they need in this context and to share the vision and philosophy we have in the Capital Presbyterian Family for our Community Group ministry.

Car Seat & Pack ‘n Play Donation Drive

Begins January 17th 

Donate a car seat or a pack ‘n play to share grace with moms who have chosen life. We will be donating these items equally between our partners Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center and Assist Pregnancy Center.

Christianity Explored

Begins January 10th, 7-8:30PM, Zoom

What’s the best news you’ve ever heard? Christianity Explored is an eight-week interactive discussion group where people can bring their friends, family, and work colleagues to explore the Christian faith, ask questions, and share points of view.

Discovering Grace covers the basics of our church’s gospel beliefs and vision. This class is open to anyone curious about what our church believes as well as those who wish to pursue church membership. In this two-week virtual class, you’ll get to know our church and afterward, you’ll have the option of pursuing church membership with the Discovering Membership seminars.
