At the start of a new year, we reflect on the truth that it is our God who makes all things new. As we kick off 2022, there are many opportunities to get involved in community and participate in the mission of our church.

Club 45 provides a fun time of fellowship for children in 4th & 5th grade. Kids will enjoy worship, silly games, and time with friends.

6th Grade
First meeting January 21
In 6th grade, children are invited to become communing members of our church. This process includes learning the precepts of the Christian faith among fellowship and games. This class is beginning its second semester.

During these gatherings, Jr. and Sr. High students encounter God through worship, teaching and developing friendships.
Each grade meets at separate, designated times & places. Contact your group leaders for more information. If you are interested in joining a group, contact our Student Ministry staff.
In Discipleship Groups (D-Groups), students encounter Christ in a smaller setting and are mentored by an adult leader.

This event occurs once per month in order for students to fellowship & worship together, as well as hear the testimony of one of this year’s Capital Fellows.

Roundtable is an event every 1st and 3rd Friday where Young Adults can gather to hear from a speaker, discuss important topics in light of the gospel, and grow in community with one another, the church, and Jesus. We have an exciting line-up of speakers and topics coming up:
Adult Christian Education (ACE) at our church helps you grow in grace through thinking more deeply about faith and life. We have three classes offered this semester:

Do you want to learn how to know your Bible better? This class will equip you with the tools necessary for reading, studying, meditating on, and applying the Scriptures of the Holy Bible.

These books encourage us and challenge us to live for Christ. They address many of the issues we face in today’s culture: godly vs. human wisdom, purity vs. immorality, identifying what’s lawful vs. what’s profitable, and more. This class is continuing from Fall 2021 – you can still jump in even if you are new to the class!

Faith & Fatherhood is a community of fathers who fellowship and study together, united by a desire to seek Christ and be better dads.

Bring your current project to work on alongside like-minded creatives for a morning of connection and inspiration. It will be a time to paint, sketch, plan, or work. As we work on our individual projects, we will discuss Makoto Fujimura’s book, Art & Faith: A Theology of Making.”

re|engage is a program designed to enhance marriages by helping couples grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Whether your marriage is thriving or in a difficult season, re|engage offers hope through stories of grace, teaching, and small groups.
Begins January 16th, 10:45–12:15AM, Room 13 (McLean)
This 13-week course is for those experiencing separation and divorce. You will find help for hurts, discover hope for the future and experience God’s healing through expert-led videos, group discussions, and personal reflections. This class covers a variety of challenges and issues you may be facing, including anger and loneliness, forgiveness, financial issues, and parenting.
Begins January 16th, 4–5:15PM, Lower Parlor (McLean)
With biblical teachings on grief and recovery, you will have an opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences, and share your own. This 13-week class will help you tell your story, process the pain that often comes with loss, and find a community of other people who understand and accept your story.
Through Community Groups, we: Commit to weekly or bi-monthly gatherings; Know each other, sharing joys and sorrows; Love each other and love God, as together we learn more about him; Serve others and seek the flourishing of our city and our world.

Christianity Explored is an eight-week interactive discussion group that welcomes those who want to explore the Christian faith. Whether you have big questions, doubts, or just want a safe place to explore, you’re invited. Invite friends, family, and colleagues too!

Join our monthly prayer time for our missions partners. During each prayer time, we will be praying for select missions partners and an unreached people group.

Discovering Grace covers the basics of our church’s gospel beliefs and vision. This class is open to anyone curious about what our church believes as well as those who wish to pursue church membership. In this two-week virtual class, you’ll get to know our church and afterward, you’ll have the option of pursuing church membership with the Discovering Membership seminars.
